Vindhyachal
The seat of Maa Vindhyavasini — one of the most powerful Shakti Peethas in northern India.
Where Maa Durga resides eternally
Vindhyachal, on the banks of the Ganga near Mirzapur, is the home of Maa Vindhyavasini. Together with the neighbouring Kali Khoh and Ashtabhuja temples it forms a potent Shakti circuit that devotees undertake as a single pilgrimage.
Because the temples sit on and around a hill, we plan vehicle access carefully and pace the climb for older guests. The Trikon Parikrama — the triangular circumambulation of the three shrines — is a highlight for those who wish to complete it.
Vindhyachal is a natural extension of any Varanasi itinerary and pairs well with Chitrakoot and Prayagraj.
